Walking 2011 : Cairngorm - Spooked Reindeer
We were very surprised when while walking up the Cairngorm Mountain in the distance we saw several reindeer - I got out my camera and we started walking slowly closer (we were about 400m away when we first saw them. I got within about 30m of them taking loads of photos, when someone else on the mountain made a noise which spooked them.. However I think this photo is one of the best I took of them.
The Reindeer on the Cairngorms, around 50 of them, are the only herd of Reindeer in the British Isles.
